The Hotel Club President is recognised as one of the best budget hotels in Hammamet by Trip Advisor. There are eight room varieties to choose from when booking at this hotel, not a common aspect among affordable resorts. There are rooms that do have balconies that overlook the Mediterranean Sea that would rival those from luxury hotels. There is even entertainment programming available that is children friendly.

Capable of accommodating the demanding business traveller, the Iberostar Solaria has a range of amenities that can keep you connected with home. The rooms in the Iberostar are larger than average when compared to many other budget hotels in Hammamet. There is a full-service restaurant in the hotel and programming geared towards adults including yoga and other fitness classes.

Bars and Restaurants

La Terrasse is an upscale restaurant that specialises in Tunisian cuisine with a twist. There are indoor and outdoor dining areas to take advantage of beautiful weather when it is not too hot. The service is well renowned in the area so the restaurant is held in wide regard. The indoor dining room at La Terrasse is sophisticated and modern, a change from the classic rooms of other Tunisian eateries. The chic décor comes with a larger than average price tag.

A popular French restaurant is La Bouillabaisse. Drawing upon its French cuisine and Hammamet's location on the Mediterranean Sea, there are many seafood options on the menu. Guests can enjoy a starter course of amuse bouche, French and local wines and main entrees including seafood, lamb and couscous options. La Bouillabaisse has exquisite options that come with a higher cost than many other Tunisian restaurants. But it is on par with European pricing and could be worth the splurge.

Le Barberousse is a sophisticated and elegant dining option in Hammamet. This restaurant boasts a menu that has French and Mediterranean cuisine. Open late for dinner, Le Barberousse is one of the most expensive restaurants in the area but it is unmatched for its gourmet cuisine and fantastic view of the sea. The local seafood that graces its menu is highly recommended. You even get to select what seafood you'd like to eat before it's cooked.

Things to do in Hammamet in November

The Kasbah of Hammamet is another popular historic site within the city. Kasbahs are historic fortresses or areas of towns that were built to protect the cities from attack. Often times, the historic leaders of these cities lived within the walls of the Kasbah. The Kasbah in Hammamet overlooks the Mediterranean Sea and now hosts a variety of markets that sell traditional and local goods. There is also a small exhibition in one building that outlines the history of the area. There is a small entry fee to enter this area but the opportunity to take pictures of the ancient ramparts is worth it. Just outside of the Kasbah area is a market with local vendors.
