Hammamet Hotels in July

Ranked by Trip Advisor® as one of the best family and customer service hotels in the area, the Holiday Village Manar is great for travelers with little ones. This hotel was once named the Formerly Magic Life Manar Imperial under previous ownership. The large hotel will most likely have vacancy where others are completely booked. There are a series of swimming pools for families to enjoy as well as beach access, large suites and free high-speed Internet.

Hasdrubal Thalassa and Spa is another luxurious hotel option in Hammamet. The Hasdrubal is located near the Riu Palace Oceana and is also on the beach. The expansive grounds of this hotel have a business centre, fitness centre, restaurants, free parking and a big swimming pool to enjoy.  Much more ornate and classical than other luxury hotels, this option reminds guests of beautiful five-star resorts back home in northern Europe.

Hammamet Beach for July

If you're willing to travel outside of Hammamet, there is an even larger bevy of beautiful shoreline to enjoy without the crowds found in the city. The city of Menzel Temime is a short drive away from Hammamet, roughly 62 kilometres northeast, and has a relatively pristine stretch of beach of the same name that is not frequented by tourists.  The Menzel Temime beach is untouched by the demands of tourists and is incredibly well preserved.

Like Hammamet Beach, the sands are fine and bright white, making for a striking contrast against the bright blue waters of the Mediterranean. Because this beach is relatively undeveloped, there are few commercial and active pursuits available on this shoreline. If you want to parasail or jet ski, this is not be the place for you, however, if it's a bona fide little bit of peaceful paradise you're after, head here. Nature lovers will love this stretch of beach for the wild flowers that grow along the dunes.

Bars and Restaurants

La Maison Arabe is a lovely hole in the wall eatery that serves traditional local food. This restaurant is located in the centre of the medina in downtown Hammamet. Located in a historic building, it retains its elements of a former era with Moorish archways, a classic menu and details that will make you feel like you really are immersing yourself in the culture. Their menu has affordable favourites like couscous and fish but the staff will make exceptions and cater to their guests' special diets. The first floor of La Maison Arabe is more of a casual eatery and the second floor is the proper restaurant.

Located outside near the Hammamet beaches, Restaurant La Belle Vue is popular with diners who want to sit outside. Because of its fantastic location near the Mediterranean Sea, the Restaurant La Belle Vue has a menu with some of the freshest seafood options around. But if you don't like seafood, there are also land-roaming options like lamb and steaks. Each of the entrees has a touch of international influence from English to French and beyond. Regardless of what entrée you select, there is a wine menu with a selection that will accompany your choice perfectly. Best of all, the Restaurant La Belle Vue offers great portion sizes at a fair price so you can make return trips to this restaurant without making your budget suffer.

For something relaxed and low-key, there are some good places to just enjoy a pint or two. Brauhaus Le Berbere is an unexpected and unusual option in Hammamet. This brewery makes its own beer, including traditional German styles like Weiss and Dunkel style beers. This brewpub is located right near the medina and so is very easy to find.

Things to do in Hammamet in July

The Yasmin neighbourhood of Hammamet may be a historical area but is completely modernised. This area of town is now where all of the nightlife and popular areas are to enjoy modern culture. The Yasmin neighbourhood is also known as the Marina District of Hammamet and is very laid-back. Just a stone's throw away from the historical areas of town, Yasmin now houses many bars, shops, markets and restaurants. While it is the popular area of town, it is still relatively quiet because Hammamet is still a small town in comparison to many European cities and even Tunis or Marrakesh. It's a perfect area to wander around and spend a relaxing afternoon.
