Goa Beach for January
Agonda Beach is one of the most popular beaches in Goa. Situated in Agonda, this beach is made up of 3km of golden sand lined by clear, warm waters. Certain parts of the beach shelve steeply into the sea, making it inappropriate for children to swim. Adult bathers also have to be aware that the sea can get very rough at high tide, making swimming out of the question, so be sure to check to see if the flags are flying red or green. Facilities include sun loungers and parasols, plus beach bars and restaurants inside small shacks backing the beach which serve food and drinks and have bathrooms for diners.
Located in the south of Goa, Majorda Beach is a much better place for sunbathing and swimming. This beach is made up of golden sand dotted with shade-providing palm trees, which gradually gives way to shallow waters ideal for swimming. Although the sea can get rough sometimes, the waves which wash up onshore are great fun to play in. Onsite services and facilities include lifeguards, sun loungers, parasols, water sports and food shacks which serve cheap beer and snacks.

Drinks include coffee, water, fresh juices and the trademark chai tea which is said to be amazing.
When it comes to traditional Goan cuisine, Foxes Fiesta is the place to go. Found in Bardez, this restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and serves an Asian fusion cuisine, with several typical Goan dishes, such as chicken xacuti and pulao, fish thali and sausage pulao.
