The Hotel Fuengirola Mediterráneo Real is a four-star hotel with 85 apartment style rooms. Guests can choose between studios, one-bedrooms, two-bedrooms, or penthouse apartments. Most rooms look out to the pool, so the rooms with sea views are limited, although every room comes with air-conditioning which is essential in August. On site there are two swimming pools (one for children), a jacuzzi, a garden area, a restaurant, and a bar. The hotel will also assist you with booking a golf outing in the area. The hotel is about a 25-30 minute walk to the city centre, but just a five minute walk to the Los Boliches train station, and another five minute walk to the beach, the grocery store, and plenty of bars and restaurants.

This pool is so close to the beach that it feels like you are on it. The hotel also offers a heated indoor pool and a sports centre.

Fuengirola Beach for August

One of the more convenient beaches to reach is named after the city itself, Fuengirola Beach. This beach is located near the city's port, so it is roughly a 10-15 minute walk to the city centre. However, because of its proximity to the city centre, this beach can get crowded during August, but it also means there are plenty of things to do nearby. The beach is about 1km (0.6 miles) long and 30 meters (98 feet) wide and the swimming area has calm water. Sun beds and umbrellas are available for rent, as well as sailboats. Companies offering fishing and scuba diving trips can be found close by as well.

A great place for food and drinks that is located just off of the beach is called Scubie's. Located on the marina, this is a place that offers great views of the sea and is in the middle of the action. They are known for their fish and chips, but also offer a wide variety of food from other types of seafood, burgers and salads. They also serve drinks if you need to cool down after a long day at the beach.

Bars and Restaurants

If you are a meat lover, El Rancho de Salva will be right up your alley. They specialize in grilled meats, cooking their high quality meat over charcoal. The park is watched over by lifeguards and those participating are encouraged to wear a life vest for safety.
