Things to do in Dubai in October

Man-Made Palm Islands

Humidity is unlikely to cause much of a problem in October, so visitors should take the opportunity to get out and about and explore the area. Dubai's man-made Palm Islands are a terrific sight to behold and are definitely worth a visit.

The islands are constructed to form a palm tree shape from above and are located just off of Dubai's coast. The Palm Jumeirah, the first to be completed, is home to a number of luxury hotels, multi million pound villas and private residences and entertainment venues.

Atlantis Dolphin Encounter

The Atlantis The Palm hotel, located on The Palm Jumeirah, offers a once in a lifetime chance to get up close and personal with dolphins. The Atlantis Dolphin Encounter allows guests to play, swim, hug and even kiss these creatures and is suitable for the whole family, even non-swimmers.

Pavilion Dive Centre

The sea temperature at this time of year is still incredibly warm so scuba diving is definitely recommended when visiting Dubai in October. The Pavilion Dive Centre at the Jumeriah Beach Hotel is a PADI Five Star Diving school offering a number of scuba diving courses for all abilities.

Dubai Autodrome

Motorsport enthusiasts should definitely visit the Dubai Autodrome, which is a multi-purpose sport facility in the UAE. This racing track features an indoor and outdoor track and offers a number of once in a lifetime driving experiences. Why not book an experience in an Audi R8 V10 supercar, where you will receive training in the car, then you will embark on three exciting laps behind the wheel. 

Oktoberfest

You don't have to fly to Munich to enjoy the world-famous German beer and folk festival. Dubai's very own Oktoberfest takes place in Dubai Media City from October 23 to November 9. Enjoy traditional Bavarian music, great food, brilliant entertainment and, of course, loads of fantastic beer!

Outdoor cinemas

Visit the Kite Beach outdoor cinema at Kite Beach, Jumeirah on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from October 24 - November 8th. Visitors who spend a minimum of Dhs30 will be able to watch one of the scheduled blockbusters. All of the films on offer are family-friendly.
