Over recent years there have been a small number of sand storms occurring in March. On March 10th in 2009 a moderate sandstorm reached Dubai which obscured visibility and covered the streets in sand and dust.

Furthermore, on March 2nd in 2010, strong winds again hit Dubai and other regions of the United Arab Emirates. Sand storms in this region are usually caused by strong north-westerly winds blowing from Saudi Arabia which carry sand from the desert.

Make sure to finish off your meal with one of their signature cheesecakes including the Snickers bar chunks cheesecake or the ultimate red velvet cheesecake.

Buddha Bar

The Buddha Bar is one of Dubai's most sought after venues, located inside the Grosvenor House Hotel. This restaurant and bar offers a mouthwatering menu inspired by the cuisines of Japan, Thailand and China, with fresh seasonal ingredients from Saudi Arabia.

Bahri Bar

Things to do in Dubai in March

Al Ahmadiya School and Heritage House

For an up close and personal glimpse into Dubai's rich history, be sure to visit the Al Ahmadiya School and Heritage House. The school was opened in 1912 and became famous throughout the UAE for being Dubai's first educational establishment.

Behind the school is the founder's old home which, along with the school building, has been renovated to allow visitors to understand life in Dubai before the modern advancements and architecture seen today. Admission is free and the air conditioning makes it a great place to cool off.

Dolphin Bay

Dolphin Bay located at Atlantis is one of the world's largest and most sophisticated dolphin habitats in the world. Visitors can choose from an array of dolphin experiences suitable for all ages and swimming abilities. Interactions range from standing in shallow waters and petting the dolphins to swimming and scuba diving alongside these majestic creatures.

Gravity Zone

Adrenaline junkies will love Gravity Zone, a 50m bungee jump located opposite the Dubai Bowling Centre. Free falling may seem very nerve racking to some people, but once you try it you will never regret it! To be able to bungee jump you must be over the age of 14 and weigh no more than 217kg. 

Dhow Cruise in Dubai Marina

To see Dubai at its finest, experience an exotic cruise on a traditional wooden Arabic boat, known as a Dhow. Visit Al Wasl Dhow to discover more about this extraordinary two-hour voyage where you'll enjoy a gourmet five-star feast on the water, surrounded by the opulent Dubai skyline.
