Dubai Beaches in May
This time of year may be too hot for some people to sunbathe on the beach as temperatures can reach a sweltering 37°C. However, if you really want to top up your tan make sure to put on plenty of sun cream and stay cool by taking a regular dip in the sea and drinking plenty of water.
Wollongong Beach otherwise known as 'Kite Beach' offers a long pristine stretch of sand and is a great place for sunbathing, as it is very quiet. As the name suggests this beach is also popular for water sports such as kite surfing.
Many of the beaches in Dubai are private and you have to pay to access them, however, Jumeirah Beach is one of the most popular and cheapest beaches in the area. This beach is 1km long and is great for sunbathing, swimming, beach volleyball, walking, or enjoying the stunning views of the world famous Burj Al Arab Hotel.
Dubai Marine Beach Resort & Spa
If you want somewhere a bit more cosy and intimate head to the Dubai Marine Beach Resort & Spa located in Jumeirah 1. This club offers three swimming pools, a gym, tennis courts, a spa, a kids' play area, table tennis, plus beachside and poolside bars.
Bars and Restaurants
Dubai is also renowned for having an excellent nightlife. Armani/Prive at the Armani Hotel, Burj Khalifa is known as one of Dubai's best super clubs. This place offers a spacious dance floor and the largest LCD screen in the world!
On the other hand, Boudoir at the Dubai Marine Beach Resort & Spa is one of Dubai's most beloved nightclubs. This place has been running for over 10 years and still remains a popular place for tourists and locals on a Friday and Saturday night.

Things to do in Dubai in May
For travellers who aren't golf enthusiasts, head over to the Dubai Creek, which runs throughout the emirate, dividing it into two parts. Visitors can take a leisurely stroll along the banks, watching the loading and unloading of the traditional Arabic dhows. One end of the creek has become a wildlife sanctuary, providing homes for over 27,000 birds including flamingos.
Wild Wadi Water Park
To keep cool in the blistering heat make sure to visit the Wild Wadi Water Park situated next to the Burj Al Arab and the Jumeirah Beach Hotel. This water park offers a number of adrenaline-fuelled rides for all ages including the Wipeout Flowrider and Juha's Dhow and Lagoon for the little ones.
The Dubai Fountain is the world's largest choreographed fountain system located on the Burj Khalifa Lake. This impressive project features over 600 lights and 25 coloured projectors, which shoot water up to 152m high.
