Al-Mamzar Beach Park
Al-Mamzar Beach Park is another relatively quiet beach that is made up of four artificial beaches with swimming zones, garden lawns, picnic areas, two swimming pools and various restaurants to choose from. There is also a long promenade, which is perfect for a romantic walk and cycling.
Jumeirah Beach is Dubai's most famous beach found 30 minutes away from the city centre. This area offers a breathtaking view of the world famous Burj Al Arab and is ideal for small children as the waters around here are very shallow.

Nobu is renowned across the globe for its mouthwatering Japanese cuisine, by using both modern and traditional Asian elements, with Arabian influences. Even though this eatery is rather pricey it is the perfect place to visit on a special occasion.

If you're looking for somewhere a bit more affordable you must try Massimo's Italian Restaurant located in the heart of Dubai's marina. This restaurant often has many discounts on offer including 50% off lunch on certain days of the week.
For a relaxed night out make sure to head to the Jetty Lounge, this place has won the Best Outdoor Bar award for two years running and can be found on top of the One & Only Royal Mirage.

Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding
Dubai is an Arabic country and as such it holds a lot of history, tradition and custom that is largely unknown to foreign tourists. To understand more about the area, a trip to the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding is recommended.
The centre strives to educate non-muslims on the religious and cultural aspects of the United Arab Emirates and offers cultural breakfasts and lunches which can be arranged in advance online. These sessions cost between £10 - £13 per person.
Al Ahmadiya School and Heritage House
For an up close and personal glimpse into Dubai's rich history, be sure to visit the Al Ahmadiya School and Heritage House. The school was opened in 1912 and became famous throughout the UAE for being Dubai's first educational establishment.
Behind the school is the founder's old home which, along with the school building, has been renovated to allow visitors to understand life in Dubai before the modern advancements and architecture seen today. Admission is free and the air conditioning makes it a great place to cool off.
When in Dubai one thing you must do is visit the World Islands, which are a collection of 300 artificial archipelagos constructed from sand dredged from Dubai's coastal waters. As the name suggests the islands were built to look like the world map.
