    Jumeirah Beach

    Jumeirah Beach is Dubai's most famous beach found 30 minutes away from the city centre. This area offers a breathtaking view of the world famous Burj Al Arab and is ideal for small children as the waters around here are very shallow.

    Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding

    Dubai is an Arabic country and as such it holds a lot of history, tradition and custom that is largely unknown to foreign tourists. To understand more about the area, a trip to the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding is recommended.

    Al Ahmadiya School and Heritage House

    For an up close and personal glimpse into Dubai's rich history, be sure to visit the Al Ahmadiya School and Heritage House. The school was opened in 1912 and became famous throughout the UAE for being Dubai's first educational establishment.

    Behind the school is the founder's old home which, along with the school building, has been renovated to allow visitors to understand life in Dubai before the modern advancements and architecture seen today. Admission is free and the air conditioning makes it a great place to cool off.

    World Islands

    When in Dubai one thing you must do is visit the World Islands, which are a collection of 300 artificial archipelagos constructed from sand dredged from Dubai's coastal waters. As the name suggests the islands were built to look like the world map.
