Djerba Weather September Averages, Tunisia
The heat of the summer can still be felt in force during September in Djerba. The temperature is no longer as intense as July or August but it is still hot enough to ensure a fabulous trip for anyone looking for some late summer sun.
Temperatures average 26°C throughout the entire month, although the beginning of the month is usually the warmest part of the season.
It is common for average highs during the day to reach up to 30°C throughout September. With the lowest temperature felt day or night usually still averaging a very balmy 22°C.
The number of daily sunshine hours in September is usually the same 9 hours as experienced in August. And with the sea temperatures still averaging an incredible 28°C, Djerba is a fantastic location for anyone looking for a beach holiday in the later part of the year. However, because of the consistent climate, September is traditionally still considered peak season within the region, which means it could be a challenge to find any bargain holidays just yet.
It is usual that there is some rainfall in September. And though it only equates to an average 20mm of rain spread over 5 days of the month, this precipitation does increase humidity levels. This means that even though it is slightly warmer in August, by the end of September, humidity levels can make it feel more uncomfortable.
Thankfully, with the increase in chance of rain, also comes the chance of a windy day. Therefore the majority of the humidity increase can often be combatted by the growing level of movement in the air.
And while there is never really much chance of cloud cover in September, there can be up to 5 days of the month that will see some white clouds in the sky. However it is likely that the hot climate and strength of the sun will soon burn any obstacles away to enjoy another good day in Djerba.

The central Zone Touristique is a short drive away, but there are still many pubs and restaurants within walking distance of the hotel to enjoy. Things to Do
As the weather cools, this the perfect time to get out on your bike in Djerba. Most of the island is very flat, ensuring plenty of access for people on two wheels. The lower levels of crowds in September ensure the narrower streets become more accessible. And with most hotels and accommodations either lending or hiring bikes, you won't have to go far to start your adventure. Take one of the many suggested tracks around the island or see where the wind takes you. A day in the fresh air is all anyone needs to feel revitalised.
September is also the time for the world famous windsurfing regatta in Djerba. After the calm summer months, the wind picks up slightly in September, offering the perfect conditions to see the professionals at work. And if sitting on the side lines just isn't for you, why not try your hand at the sport with your own windsurfing lessons with Les Dauphins. You might not reach competitive standard in one holiday, but you'll have a fabulous time trying.
Hit the Beach
It is the effort that the staff go to to ensure the sand at Sentido Djerba Beach is kept spotlessly clean that makes this a beach that should not be missed. As soon as any seaweed or waste is spotted on the shore, someone will be there to clean it up. And with the facilities of the hotel to fulfil your every need, this is a wonderful place to go. In September, the beach will not be as busy as the peak summer months, but that doesn't mean it will be quiet. There is still a full schedule of activities and entertainments for guests and visitors alike, as well as some wonderful cocktails to wash it all down with.
Even if you are not staying at Hotel PlamAzur, the beach within the hotel is still completely accessible. Simply walk through the gates and make yourself comfortable. This beach welcomes everyone. Plenty of sunbeds and parasols line the area. And the long stretch of golden sand is surrounded by palm trees, providing a little piece of paradise. The beautiful warm water is then ready to lure you in when its time to cool off. You couldn't want anything more.
