Disneyworld Weather March Averages, USA
As winter comes to an end the temperature in March starts to gradually increase, with an average warm temperature of 19°C. On a very hot day temperatures can sore to 25°C, so if you choose to come at this time of year, it's a good idea to bring your swimming costume. On a cold day average temperatures can get as low as 12°C. There's slightly more rainfall compared to February and April with an average of 92mm throughout the whole month. However, the amount daylight hours are also starting to increase at this time of year and are up to nine hours on average per day.
March is a superb time of year to go to Disney World Resort Orlando as the temperature can get very hot at certain times, but most of the time it's very pleasant warm weather with cool evenings, so don't forget to bring some light jackets. The crowds here throughout the month are generally moderate but around mid March it can get busy as many of the American schools break up for holidays.
Things to do
If you're a family that's into sport then you must visit ESPN Wide World of Sports in Disney World. So many sports are played here from American football to slow pitch softball. If you fancy doing a bit of shopping there's also the ESPN Clubhouse Shop that specialises in exclusive ESPN merchandise, or why not go to the Custom Tee Centre, where you can customize your apparel and choose from over 50 unique designs. Or if you are a family of gamers why not try the Playstation Pavilion, which holds 17 PS3 systems and 40-inch flat screen HD TVs.
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon is one of two water parks found at Disney World Resort. This is the perfect place for adrenaline junkies on a warm day where temperatures can reach up to 25°C in March if you're lucky. There's loads of activities to do here including Gang Plank Falls; a giant inner tube ride over 300-foot long. Or there's Crush 'n' Gusher a multi-rider raft that speeds through three hair-raising water slides.
Head to Disney's Hollywood Studios to get a closer look at some Hollywood style action from backstage tours to musical performances. If you're a fan of the film series Pirates of the Caribbean then you will adore the Legend of Captain Sparrow Experience located in this theme park. Learn how to become a pirate and set sail along the treacherous sea. Or if your little ones are into Star Wars visit Star Tours, where they can meet some of their favourite characters including R2-D2, Darth Vader and Chewbacca.
Held each year from March the 6th to May the 19th is the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival found in the grounds of Epcot Theme Park. Marvel at the spectacular flower displays of classic Disney characters including Mickey Mouse and Peter Pan.
For the All-American sporting experience head to Atlanta Braves Spring Training at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex throughout the month of March, to watch some of America's best professional baseball teams including the New York Mets and the Detroit Tigers.
Time to celebrate
Returning once again to Disney World is the Main Street Electrical Parade held every night at 9pm and 11pm situated at Magic Kingdom Theme Park. This famous show is now back and better than ever with new enhanced lighting technology and special effects along with the debut of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
Eating and drinking out
If you're spending the day at ESPN Wide World of Sports and fancy a typical American meal head to ESPN Wide World of Sports Grill located inside the complex. This sports themed quick-service restaurant serves up classic burgers, sandwiches and salads. Whilst if you decide to spend the day at Disney's Hollywood Studios you should try the Art Deco themed ABC Commissary for some fast food dishes with international twists such as chicken bleu sandwiches, fish and chips or a traditional Indian curry.
Try some authentic American food at 50's Prime Time Cafe, found at Disney's Hollywood Studios Theme Park across from Echo Lake. Enjoy some of the family favourites including mom's meatloaf and crispy-fried chicken. Found at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park is Leaning Palms, which serves a selection of snacks and meals including chicken salads and mouth-watering chilli dogs for a reasonable price. This is the perfect place to go to for a quick meal after a tiring day at the water park.

Located less than two miles away from the Disney World resort is Galleria Palms Hotel. This delightful modern hotel offers a complimentary hot breakfast, fitness centre, an outdoor swimming pool and sundeck. Or you could stay at SpringHill Suites Orlando Lake Buena Vista in Marriot Village also situated close to many of Disney's Theme Parks such as Disney's Animal Kingdom and Downtown Disney.
Your kids will love to stay at Disney's All-Star Sports Resort, located in Disney's Animal Kingdom area. This large resort features massive sport equipment icons including basketballs, baseballs and surfing boards, which will capture your children's imagination. You can also choose from two outdoor pools the Surfboard Bay pool and the Grand Slam pool. Another place to think of is Disney's All-Star Movies Resort also located in Disney's Animal Kingdom Area. This large resort also features giant icons but this time from the Disney classic movies including Fantasia, One Hundred and One Dalmatians and Pixar's Toy Story.
