Playa de El Cofete
Head to Playa de El Cofete for a truly secluded spot with wonderful views. To get here you take a small dirt track that is unfrequented by tourists. You will have views of the Jandia Mountains as the waves come down. The first time you lay your eyes on this beach you will be in awe. There are no sunbeds or even restaurants and bars on the beach so if you would like to stay a while be sure to pack a picnic.

If you are looking for a consistently tasty meal try out Fabs Bar and Bistro which serves up breakfast, lunch, dinner as well as late night. It is a very chilled atmosphere and the staff is very welcoming. You will find menu options such as a steak and ale pie, lamb cutlets, homemade chicken and mushroom pie and a proper English breakfast. There are daily happy hours which sometimes last up to four hours so get there early.
Margarita serves up some of the best authentic Spanish cuisine in Caleta de Fuste. This is a small restaurant and can sometimes get crowded so be sure to arrive early or book ahead. There are many options on the menu including a salmon and canary island potatoes, fresh sea bass and a tapas selection which is large enough for four to share.

A fun choice for your Caleta de Fuste holiday is to learn to surf. Amanay Surf School features four different ways to learn. There are three group options, a one day, three day and five day session, which all include up to 8 participants per instructor. There is 4-5 hours of course work, free transfer, accident insurance and surf equipment is provided. You can also book a private lesson which is three hours and you will have very individualized attention.
For those looking to be active on their holiday check out Caleta Cycles which offers bike hire and bike tours. There are three different tours that range 12 miles, 25miles and 43 miles that are appropriately named easy, moderate and difficult tours. If you choose to just hire a bike you have plenty of choices available, such as a mountain bike or burley adventure trailer to pull your kids.
