What's the Weather like in Calella in August

Average Sea Temperature

Beach lovers will certainly be in their element during the peak summer month of August, as this is when the sea is at its optimum temperature. You can expect an average sea temperature of around 26°C during this month, and that means splashing around in the sea, water-sports, and swimming are certainly on the holiday agenda!

Temperature

Calella experiences an average temperature of around 23°C during this time of year, which can rise to an average high of around 29°C. The seemingly constant sea breeze does a good job of making conditions feel a little cooler, however do always remember sun safety, especially at this time of year, when the sun seems to endlessly shine. When dipping in and out of the sea and hotel swimming pools, always remember to re-apply high factor sun-cream, especially for children, and always wear a hat.

Evenings are still very warm indeed, with an average low temperature of just 17°C, so again, air conditioning is a major must-do in your hotel or apartment.

Average Sunshine Hours

Speaking of the sun, you can expect a huge 12 hours of average sunshine per day, making it important to seek shade from time to time.

Rainfall

Rain is certainly unlikely to be a problem at this time of year, with an average rainfall level of just 55mm throughout the month, which only affects around 9 days to some degree; downpours are likely to be the result of an afternoon thunderstorm, and pass just as quickly as they arrive, leaving behind much fresher conditions for a time.

Put simply, these peak summer months are not the best time to visit the region if you don't enjoy high temperatures and crowds, however if you are looking for typical summer holiday weather, with plentiful sun and heat, then this is the ideal time for you.
