Hit the Beach
Cala Cerrada and Cala Bosque are the most broadly known and mainstream of La Zenia Beach. The beaches in spring and summer are exceptionally busy. The facilities on La Zenia beach are phenomenal and of good quality. The close-by beaches of Playa Flamenca and Cabo Roig are definitely worthy of a visit. As you go south along the coast to Cabo Roig, there are promenades which are incredible for walking.
Cala Cerrada Beach
Cala Cerrada Beach is a small beach in the La Zenia area. Cala in Spanish means cove. The beach has sunbeds and sunshades available for a fee, the beach is cleaned every day. A small refreshment bar is on the beach and more choices in the town.
Cala Bosque Beach
Cala Bosque Beach is a small beach in the La Zenia area. This beach does get busy in the summer months. The facilities at the beach include a beach bar, children's play area and a volleyball court. The beach has sunbeds and sunshades available for a fee, jet-skis and pedalos are available for hire too and the beach is cleaned every day.

Sanmari Delicatessen is a tapas bar in Cabo Roig and is Spanish owned, good quality food and reasonably priced drinks along the main strip.
La Paradia Cafeteria in Cabo Roig serves a wide selection of cakes, filled rolls, pastries, ice creams, coffee and freshly squeezed orange.
White Rose Tea Rooms in Cabo Roig has traditional tea and scones on the Costa Blanca, plus a full menu for breakfast and lunch.
Italian Affair in Cabo Roig has a good reputation for Italian cuisine in the resort and exceptionally good value too. Good reviews and good food.
Puccini's Italian restaurant in Cabo Roig is situated just off the main strip and has a fantastic Italian menu to choose from. The bruschetta is a stand out from the menu and the restaurant has many good reviews on TripAdvisor.
Balti Tower Indian restaurant in Cabo Roig has an extensive menu of Indian cuisine to choose from, including specials like "the early bird" menu for 10. Lots of positive reviews on Trip Advisor for this place.
Slievenamon is an Irish pub in Cabo Roig that live music, a darts board, a fin selection of beer, spirits, wines and a nice atmosphere.
Things to Do in Cabo Roig in August
Mar Menor or minor sea, is a 70km long salty lagoon which is separated from the Mediterranean Sea by a sandbar. The clear warm water is no more than 7 metres in depth and is very popular for water sports in this part of Spain. Mar Menor is an excellent place for photography.
La Manga and also known as La Manga del Mar Menor is the sandbar that separates the minor sea from the Mediterranean Sea. La Menga is 100 metres wide and 22 kilometres in length. The area is a haven for water sports like sailing, water skiing, windsurfing, canoeing and catamarans. La Menga is an excellent place for photography.
