Sorted by popularity:

During June, the temperatures in Brittany tend to peak at 19°C, with an average low temperature of 12°C at night and early mornings. You may want to dip your toes in the sea, and you certainly can as the average temperature of the water is currently at a comfortable 16°C. In fact, more than a dip: we say it's time to go for a swim! You can definitely enjoy a trip to the beach at this time of year, as we really start to get into the summer months with a vengeance. Forget about the cold weather of the winter from here it only gets warmer!

Rainfall is at one of its lowest points with only 11 days of rain to affect your outdoor adventures. Just 33mm will fall, which makes this one of the driest months for you to visit. It may not be totally dry, but it does make a good contrast to the earlier part of the year! As for sunshine, be prepared to catch a lot of it sun cream at the ready every time you go out. This month sees the longest days of the year, with an average of 11 hours of sun every single day. If you want to catch a tan, head outside and let nature take its course!

Make sure to keep an eye on the forecast, however this is still a time of year when a lot of rain can fall at once, and you don't want to get caught outside without a coat if it does. Just be thankful you aren't in nearby La Rochelle, where an extra 7mm of rain will come down. On the other hand, they do see longer days and slightly warmer weather, so it depends on what you are looking for in terms of a perfect climate!

For a very comfortable stay, head for Domaine des Ormes in Dol-de-Bretagne. This nature park is perfect for both families, couples, and friends, and it has a wealth of activities for you to take advantage of the June sunshine. You can choose from a caravan, treehouse-style cabin, or a traditional hotel room for your stay.

The Hotel Le Nautilus is in the coastal Saint-Malo, and offers a beautiful boutique experience. It is housed inside a restored 17th century building within the walls of the town, close to everything that you will want to explore. Plus, when you get back, there is a fully stocked private bar waiting to refresh you.

The Grand Hotel de la Mer Roscoff used to be a Best Western property, but has been changed with new owners to a brand new lease of life. It is right on the waterfront in this historic city, and offers amenities such as the Rackham Restaurant to make your stay all the more comfortable.

Since the average sea temperature has reached a comfortable 16°C, don't hold back dive right in! You can head for Bénodet, which is one of the best-known beach resorts in the region. It will get busier as the summer goes on, so now is the best time to visit. Plus, what can't you do here? There's a sailing school, summer clubs for children, boat trips, restaurants this beach definitely has it all, and is really somewhere to be seen to boot.

If you are looking for something a little different, try out Chez Meh. This restaurant serves up Thai and other Asian cuisines, with a little bit of that French flair. The menu is full of vibrant, colourful dishes, and covers a lot of seafood as well as chicken and duck. They also have various levels of spiciness so that you can decide what suits you best!

If you are looking to eat what the locals eat, just know that Italian food is very popular in France. Picotta is a little Italian eatery that gets a high rating from diners. They have a full list of pizzas, with the option to add extra ingredients and create your own choice, as well as pastas and other dishes. It's great for a more laidback dining experience.

For real French food, how about Le Carre? The décor here is almost as exciting as the food: large paintings of bored cherubs hang above you, while some chairs are made from exotic carvings such as giant hands. Even with all of this flair, it's still a classically designed restaurant with traditional style in a way that makes it totally upmarket.

Dinard is very close to Mont St. Michel, a popular location on the Emerald Coast of France. Mount St. Michel was an abbey built on a rock outcropping, which can only be reached when the tide is low. Tours of the walled village that lead up to the abbey are extremely popular throughout the summer, and in the June sunshine especially.

Or why not treat yourself with a trip to the Thalasso & Spa Roscoff? Make sure you have all the right beauty treatments so you are ready to show off your style on the beach, or just book in for a full-body massage. You can even just spend the whole day in the pool and relax.

If you want to visit something with a bit of history and culture, head for Les remparts de Saint-Malo, as well as the various chateaux and historical buildings you can find in this city. It is a place with a long past, and you can learn all about it as well as admiring these constructions which have stood for hundreds of years.
