What's the weather like in October in Bordeaux

Not far from Spain's northern border sits Bordeaux, famous for its historical buildings and wine production. This city in southwest France produces some of the most well-known wines, which are sold all over the world. October means the start of autumn and the harvest festival; it also brings dropping temperatures and increasing rain chances.

Compared to September's 70 mm, this month gets around 90 mm of rainfall. The rain falls over an average of 16 days in the month, with a 46% chance of rain each day.

Pack that umbrella or poncho, as you'll probably have at least one rainy day during your stay. Fortunately, the rains tend to be light and short-lived and the city offers plenty to do for indoor activities. You can check the local forecast to know for sure what to expect each day.

Compared to the UK during this same time, those temperatures will feel pretty good.

The number of hours of daylight drops off, down to five hours a day. Thankfully, the city has many museums, churches, and other indoor attractions to check out when it gets dark early. The chance of a sunny day is 17% and the chance of a cloudy day sits at 38%. It gets breezier this time of year, with an 11% chance of a windy day.

    Extreme Temperatures

The lowest recorded temperature dropped all the way down to -4°C (about 26°F), very cold for this part of the world. Fortunately, you most likely won't have to deal with these intense temperatures.
