November Weather Averages

Sorted by popularity:

November is considerably cooler than preceding months in Bled.

Daytime temperatures now reach no higher than 8°C and can drop to a very chilly 1°C in the evenings.

Due to the cold, Bled is usually much quieter at this time of year. Accommodation will be much cheaper and easier to come by.

You can expect to experience snow during your stay in November. This means hats, gloves, scarves and overcoats should be worn when heading out. If you are intending to explore the extensive countryside in the area, then you should wear appropriate footwear as ice and snow make it quite treacherous.

Always check the weather forecast before heading out, in case of snow storms and other severe weather.

Whatever time of year you visit, there is still plenty to see and do in the area.

Heavy snowfall only adds to the picturesque beauty of the area. Lake Bled is the centrepiece of the area and, surrounded by a backdrop of the Julian Alps, provides a picture postcard vista.

Looming over the lake is Bled Castle. This 1000 year old gothic castle resembles something from a fairytale and is well worth a visit. It houses a fascinating museum as well as a herbal gallery, printing press, and a wine cellar that regularly hosts tasting sessions perfect for wine connoisseurs out there!

Winter is the perfect time to visit the nearby capital city of Ljubljana. The old buildings and winding streets of the old town are perfect to wander around, going from café to café. Other highlights include a wealth of art galleries and museums, as well as Roman ruins.
