Bintan Weather July Averages, Indonesia

    Bintan Weather for July 2020

What's the weather like in Bintan in July

July falls smack-bang in the middle of the dry southwest monsoon season in tropical Bintan, an island in the Riau archipelago in Indonesia. This is one of the driest months in the year; sunshine is abundant; and temperatures are gloriously high. The weather, in short, is absolutely spectacular this time of year.

    Temperature

The average day temperature is 27°C, which is a number that really doesn't vary all that much throughout the year in this resort. It's essentially very warm all-year round. In July, you can enjoy afternoon temperatures that average 30°C. At night, you will be sweating in your hotel room if you don't have air-conditioning because the average low temperature isn't lower than 24°C. The other dry season monthsa href="http://www.holiday-weather.com/bintan/averages/june">June, August and Septemberre equally as enjoyable.

    Sea Temperature

Diving is a very popular pastime in Bintan in July. The sea water temperature averages a bath-like 29°C this time of year, which makes it comfortable to spend hours upon hours in the sea. Underwater visibility is also optimal, due to the lower amounts of rainfall this season.

    Rainfall

The total amount of rainfall in July is 152mm, which makes it the fourth driest month of the year, after the three other dry season months. This would be a rather high number in non-tropical destinations, but here, in this tropical resort, it's quite low. The chance that you will encounter precipitation decreases greatly in the course of the month, from 27% in the beginning to 16% at the end. By far the most common type of rainfall this time of year is moderate rain. It is observed on no less than 63% of the days with rainfall. Light rain is second, being recorded on 23% of those days. Thunderstorms happen on 13% of the rainy days.

    Sunshine Hours

As rainfall decreases noticeably, so does cloud cover. The percentage of cloud cover drops from 38% to 33% throughout July, opening up the skies for more sunshine. There are 8 hours of sunshine per day on average in July. This is a rather high number, considering that this is a tropical location near the equator and that the days are significantly shorter than more northerly places this time of year.
