For those who prefer slightly cooler temperatures, lower humidity and less chance of hurricanes, this is a good time to visit when the crowds are smaller and prices are lower. This is a good month for golfing, tennis, cycling and other outdoor sporting activities. It can still be wet in this month with average rainfall of 130mm that falls over 18 days in the month. St Peter's Church
If you are interested in history then go to St Peter's church in St George. This is a beautiful old church dating back to 1612 and is the oldest Anglican Church outside the British Isles. The inside of the church is lovely with old wooden beams, furniture and rails carved out of local cedar wood and the pulpit that was made in 1660. There are over 40 memorials on the walls inside and the vestry contains a display of sacred silver, with the earliest Communion cup dating back to 1625.
