Things to do in Bangkok in March
Bangkok is a city boasting many cultural aspects and you can't visit here without exploring some of the attractions in the area. There's a wealth of history to discover and a sight-seeing tour of the city is the perfect way to explore Bangkok. A trip to the city's Ayutthaya Temples is one tour you shouldn't miss. This includes a visit to Siam and a river boat trip to witness the picturesque views of the Chao Phraya River.
Ayutthaya lies 53 miles north of Bangkok and is famous for its spectacular ruins. Many temples are still well formed. You will also discover the palace of King Rama IV with beautiful Chinese and Thai architecture. Go back in time to explore old artefacts. This nine hour tour will allow you to travel back to Bangkok via boat. From Ayutthaya, capture all the sights that line the river, such as the Wat Arun.

March is another busy month in the city, with a number of events taking place. Throughout the month, there is the Thailand International Kite Flying Festival, which is a major event for all ages. In late March, there is Magha Puja Day, a Buddhist holiday with candlelit processions around multiple chapels and temples across the city. At the end of the month is the International Bangkok Motor Show, showcasing the latest cars and other vehicles, including concept cars and futuristic designs.There is also the Thao Suranaree Fair in late March/early April featuring processions, exhibitions, contests and live music and finished with a huge fireworks display.
