Beaches for April for Bali
Blue Lagoon Beach
A good beach for avoiding tourists and crowds is Blue Lagoon Beach. Due to the general lack of people, the beach is clean and the water is crystal clear. Between the clear water and a coral reef that is close to shore, this is a great beach for snorkeling and sea life is abundant. If you need to rent snorkeling gear, there are small restaurants on the beach that offer gear for rental, as well as beach chairs, and they have showers too.
The currents at Blue Lagoon can often be strong, so be cognizant of this when swimming or snorkeling. For delicious, fresh food, try Martini's, which is a warung just off of the beach. They also serve cocktails and beer and sometimes have live music. Blue Lagoon Beach is located about a 50 minute drive to the east from Ubud.
Mushroom Beach is a white sand beach and is considered one of Nusa Lembongan's best beaches. There are places to rent chairs, sun beds, and umbrellas, although with tall, green trees hanging over the sand on some parts of the beach, relaxing under their natural shade might be your best option. Mushroom Beach also has most water sports and activities available, like snorkeling, parasailing, and fishing.
There is also a swim area that is perfect for just cooling off in the water, although be careful for coral, as the water can get shallow in certain areas. You won't have to venture far, or even off of the beach in order to find sustenance, as the Café Bali is located on the beach. They offer local and international food, as well as having a wonderful view of the sea. The coast just off of Nusa Lembongan island is about a 30 minute drive from Ubud, but you will need to take a boat to get to the island.
