Alicante Hotels in December
Tryp Gran Sol Hotel
The Tryp Gran Sol Hotel has a fantastic, central location, opposite the sea, with rooms that boast spectacular panoramic views. The facilities are fairly limited but there is a sauna and vouchers are offered to the nearby spa. The hotel primarily caters to business travel, so don't expect much in the way of amenities.
The Ibis Alicante epitomises no-frills, budget accommodation. Located on the sea front, the location is undoubtedly excellent and rooms at an Ibis hotel are generally quite comfortable. However, the hotel offers very few amenities, and the location is not quite central enough to make up for that fact.
Bars and Restaurants
Ay Carmela is a popular club in the port area, playing the very best of Spanish music and European hits.
Potato Bar may be slightly more on the expensive side, but plays the very best of funk and house music and often hosts live performances, so it's definitely worth a visit.
Restaurant La Piazetta
Restaurant La Piazzetta is a popular Italian restaurant in the city and there's no restaurant in Alicante that offers higher quality. The food is delicious, made using top-quality ingredients. The pasta, in particular, comes highly recommended.
