New Cacao is equally as popular, and a modern-feel to the décor and interior of the building. The service is fantastic, the menu is large, and the burgers are extremely popular, and very sizeable!
If however you want to enjoy more quaint and low-key surroundings during your winter stay in Alcudia, then head to the Old Town and the pretty surroundings of Sa Caseta. This is an Italian restaurant which is said to have the best pizza in town, a large wine menu, and very imaginative presentation of food. A great laid-back choice for your evening meal.
Things to do in Alcudia in December
Christmas and New Year
Christmas in Alcudia, and indeed across the whole of Majorca, is something you should certainly experience. Colourful lights, celebrations, a warm, welcoming feel, and plenty to see and do. In Palma throughout December you will find Christmas markets, where you can try mulled wine, local traditional foods, and maybe shop for a few presents to take back home.
Christmas time itself is a very family-oriented time on the island, and you will find that midnight mass on Christmas Eve is very popular to attend as a family. Of course, we shouldn't forget that December also includes New Year's Eve, and you will find firework displays and festivities all over the island, not only in Alcudia and Palma. If you're heading to a restaurant on this night, make sure you book your table!
Club de Golf Alcanada
Relaxation during the festive season may be on your agenda, and in that case, a round of golf should be your aim. The famous and high quality Club de Golf Alcanada is your destination. On sunny, warm days a round of golf here is a wonderful experience, because the scenery is just as much of a seller as the game itself. The sea view, the nearby lighthouse, and the mountains in the distance add a major advantage to heading off for a few hours trying to better your own personal score.
You shouldn't be forgetting a spot of sightseeing however, and the Old Town is certainly where it's at in Alcudia. Quieter times mean more room to explore, and the cobbled, narrow streets around this part of town are wonderful for checking out the old architecture, exploring the quaint boutique shops, and stopping for a coffee, and watching the world go by. The market on a Tuesday and Sunday is also a fantastic experience.
Despite the 'off' season in terms of tourism in Alcudia during the winter months, this is certainly a resort which continues to entertain regardless of the temperature.
