Things to do in Alcudia in June
Night of Fire and Sant Joan Fiesta
Majorca has a full calendar of fiestas and fun-filled festivals throughout the summer, and June heralds the start of a busy and packed time on the island. Night of Fire, or Nic de Foc, takes place on 23 June, and is celebrated throughout the island with huge bonfires and firework displays. This is basically the start of the summer fiestas on the island. At the same time, Sant Joan Fiesta is celebrated across the island, coinciding with the summer solstice, with fun and music to be found everywhere.
Sant Pere Fiesta
If you're in Palma on 28 & 29 June then you will be able to catch Sant Pere Fiesta, which is a huge procession of fishing boats, in honour of the patron saint of fishermen. This is a popular sight to see, and something different to catch during your holiday.
Wind & Friends
Of course, June also means summer season is in full swing for tourism, along with much warmer temperatures and little chance of rain. This is a great opportunity to get out onto open water and explore the viewpoint of Alcudia away from the land. Wind & Friends offer windsurfing lessons, expeditions, and catamaran trips, which is a great way to spend a few hours splashing, having fun, learning a new skill, and enjoying time away from dry land.
Ranxo Ses Roques
If you want to stay on dry land but check out a little wildlife and nature at the same time, then head to the very popular Ranxo Ses Roques. This family-run ranch offers pony trekking rides up and around the mountain, as well as a mini farm with parrots, different birds, and horses for the younger kids to enjoy. This does get quite busy during peak season, so it may be advisable to book if you are wanting to enjoy the pony trek.
Back in Alcudia itself, and the Old Town is a fantastic place to explore whilst the crowds aren't quite so high, with narrow, cobbled streets, a huge market, beautiful old architecture, and some cosy restaurants and coffee shops to try.
