February in northern Tenerife is moderate and lovely for a winter holiday. The region sees an average temperature of 18 degrees Celsius with a potential low of 15 degrees. However the high can reach 21 degrees Celsius. The Atlantic Ocean remains cool at 15 degrees Celsius. The island only sees 30 mm of rain throughout the month but it falls primarily over the course of five days. Because of the altitude, remember to be hydrated and pace yourself if you do hike. The views of the sunset can’t be beat!
Many excursion companies offer tours of Mount Teide as well. The tours often have comfortable transportation provided up until the cable car, which is a separate expense. Enjoy the landscape easily while on holiday.
