The climate in
With a desert climate comes hot days and cold nights. In the peak of summer, the months of June to September, the daily high is, on average, 34 to 36 degrees, with July and August being the hottest months. It is definitely not uncommon to see temperatures rise over 40 degrees, in the height of summer you will experience many days on end that see the barometer record over 40 degrees- so taking cover in your hotel swimming pool and air conditioned comfort is definitely what you’ll find your self doing. Relief does come in the form of coastal breezes and by sundown the mercury drops slightly and average minimums of 27 degrees are experienced, swimming in the evenings in the amazing sapphire blue sea is definitely a recommended activity.
Winters bring cooler temperatures, though
the average maximum in the coldest month of December is a still pleasant 24
degrees, minimums fall to about 12 to 13 degrees so as you can imagine
The best time to visit is probably any time outside of summer, as summers can get blistering hot and with no rainfall this means that there is little relief from the days sun. Make sure you look into accommodation before, because while the town is increasing in popularity it is still fairly fresh off the boat so there isn’t a huge amount of accommodation and the hotels book up fast.
