February Weather Averages

Sorted by popularity:

The weather in St Julians in February shows significant improvement on the month before, to signify that spring is definitely on the way.

Though average temperatures of 13°C are equal to the temperatures seen in the previous month of January, February usually only experiences two thirds the amount of rain than the month before. This makes the entire period much more attractive to residents and visitors alike.

Usually only 13 days of February expect any rainfall. Across the entire month an average of only 60mm of precipitation are expected. This means showers may be short but they can still be very heavy. There is still plenty of time to enjoy the typical 10 hours of daily sunshine anticipated during the month and the drier air that comes with it.

Average highs for February are a degree more than those seen in the previous month, meaning peak temperatures of 16°C are usual for this time of the year. Record temperatures of 24°C were experienced back in 2010, however average highs of 16°C are much more likely.

Night time temperatures remain at a cool 10°C throughout the month, with the same average low experienced in the months either side of this one. But because of the long periods with cool evening temperatures, the hotels and restaurants are usually fully prepared.

As with every other month of the year in St Julians, sea temperatures are the things that dreams are made of. Average temperatures of 28°C ensure the sea feels more like a bath than salt water.  But there will always be someone diving or snorkelling to prove it isn't so.

Though there is still a lot of rain around in February in St Julians, the climate definitely starts to improve, making the weather in Malta much better in February than anything you will see in the UK.
