Resort Profile

The snowsports resort which is the home slopes to the rich and famous is a year round resort. Gstaad and its surrounding 6 villages combine to offer a great range of well spread out skiing of mainly intermediate standard. Most of the villages are connected by train as well as bus. Gstaad is at the head of a U-shaped, flat bottomed valley formed by the Sanetsch, Wasserngrat and the Eiggli mountain. The Gstaad Super Ski pass accesses 69 lifts in total and 250kms of runs and includes the glacier skiing at Les Diablerets, Adelboden-Lenk and the Alpes Vaudoises resorts. The main village is everything you might expect: a traffic free centre with up market shops, luxury hotels and lots of upmarket chocolate box private chalets.

Accomodation & Après Ski

Apres ski is varied and well organised. Swimming in Gstaad is free with your lift pass, there are skating and curling rinks, sleigh rides and cross country skiing and a cinema. Shopping is excellent with a good range of upmarket, chic outlets. Most of the bars and nightclubs are contained within the main hotels.
