Holiday Weather

I was learning so stayed on the easier slopes, but there were easy lifts to go over to Italy and the lift pass included a free day in the milky way which my more experienced friends took advantage of. The people who worked there, and other holidaymakers, were really friendly whatever their nationality, and although I've only got a little bit of French (and no Italian) nobody seemed to mind my attempts and were really helpful.
The only thing I would say is that my friend had a missing binding plate and only one place tried to help her out (Abba Sports), also, if you're up for spending money on expensive gear (like Burton) it doesn't have the specialist shops, although you will find cheaper makes. As usual with these remote places, there's one club and it was a bit small, but the pubs/bars are good and open til late. All the shops and bars are concentrated on the one main street, with a few off the side, so its really easy to find your way round. Our apartment was right at the far end of the resort, but there's a free shuttle bus service during the day for going to and coming back from the slopes, and Montgenevre really isn't big enough to make walking a problem. We were only 10 minutes away from the main street.
The weekends (as anywhere) get a bit busy with the locals coming over, so if you're going to take a day off I'd recommend doing it on Friday/Saturday rather than mid-week, so you can take full advantage.
Transfer time was only 1 and 1/2 hours from Turin, fantastic!

Recommended Places
Check out Le Graal (bar which most of the English gravitate to) although most of the bars are good fun, Il Capitaine (pizzeria with fantastic food which is really cheap to), and Abba Sports for rental/spare parts.
