Whens the snow is good the skiing is great. A huge ski area, Grand Massif connects 5 ski areas, a real mix of blues reds and blacsk and some great off piste to be had! For total beginners there are green runs but these are fairly limited. In Morillion however there is a lovely long green run, with some good off piste as well!
Les Carroz is a predominantly french village which is very pretty and small which makes getting about easy. The free ski buses which run are efficent and you are never waiting long.
It is a chilled atmosphere where you can go out for a good night or stay in and relax.
I have been going here for a few years now and the level of english spoken has definaltey improved though having a go at French is always appreciated.
Recommended Places
There is only one club in Les Carroz open Fridays and Saturdays. Club 74, women get in for free and have a free drink, men - its 10 euros for you, but you also get a free drink. 1 euro to put your coat in. The music is dancy/slightly techno, faced paced and interrupted every few beats with the french dj warming up the crowd. Its small and generally full of more men than women but a great place to pull some moves on the dance floor!
For a good atmosphere coupled with some great fine/relaxed dining I recommend Croix De Savoie. A hotel and restaurant set a little way up out of the village, it is walkable in about 20 mins, The owners are from Paris but offer a great family run service where the wife does all the cooking herself. Delicious!

Ski resort of Les Carroz.
Pros
Under 1 hour transfer from Geneva airport.
Lots of good runs in resort but even better access to Grand Massif ski area and Flaine.
Quiet and friendly.
Nice family skiing
Reliable ski bus service
Friendly people
Can get amazing snow if you time it right. Might be better later in the season but lower runs will suffer as quite low.
Cons
Not much Apres ski and difficult to get access to other resorts.
Too quiet
Small
Expensive food but then it is a ski resort. I've never been to a cheap one.
Recommended Places
Flaine
Samoens
Chamonix if you have time, especially Vallee Blanche run
