Kirchberg (850m) is 6 km from Kitzbuhel and well connected by bus and rail. It offers more of the same intermediate standard runs as Kitzbuhel minus the historic picturesque centrepiece. It too is busy, widely spread and with a good base of smaller hotels and pensions attracts a lively, young and cosmopolitan clientele. It also cannot be commended for its linked areas or ready accessibility to all the base stations. Beginners runs are accessible at village level, but the bus service is required to reach many of the others. Kirchberg offers the starting point for the Ski Safari which links right the way round the Kitzbuhel circuit to the Pass Thurn runs.
