World-class resort for both skiers and non-skiers alike. The new city museum is well worth the admission price - a great reminder of the resort's importance in the history of "alpinisme". Many lift improvements have been implemented, and several more are slated for the coming years, which is reflected in the price of the lift ticket!
Recommended Places
Snow on the Italian side was better than on the Swiss side. The Italians were making artificial snow more assiduously than the Swiss.

Litf system inadquate, 'T' bars in 2007, rip-off prices on the mountain, boring motorway pistes, saved by stunning scenery.

It was a great place - very far removed from reality; no cars, horse & carriage and small little houses. On the other hand, it was not peak-season. The apres-ski was good as was the food. A very nice range of hotels and they all seemed very clean and well-situated.
