Accomodation & Après Ski
29 km to nearest settlement of significance which is Wanaka. This is an enchanting laid back town on the tranquil, stunning shores of Lake Wanaka. Amongst its eclectic collection of restaurants is the strangely named Kyefuckapie. Shopping is of a similarly small scale but interesting nature. Home of the renowned Puzzle World and bi-annual host of The Wanaka Air Show (internationally famous), this time warp town (its hall converts at the weekends into the cinema), is the gateway to two of the best ski fields on New Zealand South Island Cardrona and Treble Cone.
