The older of New Zealands sister ski fields (lift passes are also valid for The Remarkables). Snow making facilities and a vertical drop of 420m mix to create slopes to suit all levels. Intermediate pistes predominate on the mountain but the lower flanks offer slightly more challenging runs. Season runs from mid June to mid October. 18 km from Queenstown, it can get busy, Night Skiing, Licensed Restaurant, and Heliskiing.

Accomodation & Après Ski
18 km from Queenstown, it can get busy on the slopes and at base station where night skiing a licensed restaurant, and heliskiing are available. Queenstown, Otago, the Birth Place of Bungee and adrenaline junkie heaven. Self styled international destination for ?Alternative Thrill seekers?. Restaurants are diverse and many, as are the shopping facilities. Accommodation ranges from Back-Packer to 5 star. Resting on the shores of Lake Wakatipu this once Maori settlement is now a global village. Active 12 months of the year, the winter months have a particularly French flavour.
