Nice wide pistes - very well maintained. 2 great snowparks and 3 boardercross runs in total to choose from. Plenty of off-piste to try if you want to. No lift queues and quiet slopes.
Nightlife poor as there was hardly anyone in resort when we went (mid Jan). Lots of potential and could easily imagine it getting good later in the season. Don't bother going out till after 10 though.

Recommended Places
AMR Nissan Run - Boardercross track which takes your photo at the end (For limited time in 2009).

San Giavanni Hotel for food / to stay. They did us proud!

Kokodi nightclub when it's busy.

Homelywood / Daphne's again when busy.

Bars show too much football for my liking, but you can always turn your back on it. Don't bother with Marco's - no atmosphere and poor layout. Reps love it for some reason (back-handers?!)

Good for beginners, I read a lot of reviews before I went and was given the impression it was very cheap to eat/drink out but to buy drinks out wasn't that cheap - about the same as UK prices for beer/spirits and about 3 pounds for a medium coke. To buy food and drink in the shops in nice and cheap though - about 4 pounds for a litre of Smirnoff vodka!

The slopes were very good for beginners but due to the weather conditions it was quite icy most of the days, we had a couple of days of snow which was great to board on the next day. It was nice and easy to get around the resort - the buses are fairly frequent and it didn't take too long to get to either side of the mountains.

If you're an advanced skier I imagine the resort wouldn't be too challenging, there are black runs but it is predominantly blue and not too challenging red.

Overall, It was a good resort to start at as a beginner but the transfer was five hours from the airport to livigno on a coach. I would probably look to try somewhere else before returning there again.
