La Rosiere, on the French/Italian border links up with the larger Italian resort of La Thuile high in the western alps. The Italian ski area offers great views to Mont Blanc, Monte Rosa and to the Matterhorn. It has an enviable snow record and has predominantly east facing slopes. La Rosiere meanwhile has West facing slopes ideal for an early start on cold spring mornings.
