Resort Profile
Fernie is located in the south-east of the Canadian Rockies. Until recently, it was not very well known. However, a huge multi-million expansion project has meant that it looks set to be a strong challenger to Canadašs more famous resorts. Fernie's biggest draw is its excellent snow conditions and it boasts some of the best powder skiing in the world.

Accomodation & Après Ski
Accomodation is located by the lifts stations allowing direct access to the slopes. There are mostly ski lodge hotels and condominiums and some chalets have recently been built. There are good bars and clubs and the traditional mining town of Fernie is only a short distance away. Bowling, sleigh rides, toboganning and hot spa baths are also available. Fernie already has a reputation as a destination offering value and great powder skiing.
