Resort Guide for Westendorf, Austria
Resort Profile
Westendorf remains a very popular and unspoilt destination on the Brixental valley suntrap. Although it is not lift linked it into it, it is on the SkiWelt lift pass and there are regular free bus links. It is a small compact but upbeat village, with a strong reputation with families, accessible village level nursery slopes which encompass some benign cruising runs. Snow reliability here too is fair and Westendorf has stayed in step with the SkiWelt's record of substantially increased snowmaking, and the majority of runs will now be served by snow cannon. The terrain is very much in the lightweight cruising domain, suited to intermediates with some good longer slopes for those who want to build up their skills without encountering too many challenges
