Seefeld is a compact, beautiful village set on a sunny shelf which accesses three different local ski areas. It is only half an hour from Innsbruck. It has a great reputation as a friendly, lively, stylish resort ideally suited to beginners and early intermediates, and is especially popular with cross-country skiers who will enjoy the 250kms of tracks including those built for the 1976 Olympic Winter Games and the 1985 World Championships. The town exudes Tirolean charm but also offers several luxury hotels - modern and historic - a casino, and a luxury health centre.

Accomodation & Après Ski

Seefeld is very well served with shops, restaurants, bars and cafes. It is a popular summer mountain and lakes resort as well. In town the Klosterbrau is a former 16th century monastery which is now a five star hotel complete with indoor and outdoor swimming pools and a Roman sauna. Otherwise there are dozens of good four stars plus many smaller pensions and gasthofs. Many of the bars are part of hotels, but there is usually plenty going on to suit all tastes. The Nanni and Moccamhule are regular recommendations for early evening apres ski. There are a fair range of non skiing activities. Innsbruck is half an hour away, but Seefeld itself offers a highly recommended swimming pool which is in the Olympia Sports Centre which also has an ice rink. There is a curling rink with 40 lanes; squash and tennis, indoor riding, a fitness studio and a golf range.
