Resort Profile
Lofer is a picturesque village set in the Pinzgauer Saalachtal valley with great views to the stunning Loferer and Reitner Steinberger mountains. As well as its own ski area which is well suited to beginners, families and cautious intermediates there more extensive area of Wadraing's Steinplatte but is also an easy drive to Saalbach-Hinterglemm and it is 22 miles from Salzburg.

Accomodation & Après Ski
Lofer has a collection of eight main hotels and many gasthofs and pensions; some spread around the valley. The village centre is car free. There are three decent cafes and restaurants. The Bistro Hotel Dax opens for evening meals and the Pizzeria Kupferdachl opens midday to midnight. There are two cafés: the Dankl and Schopper. Salzburg is within easy reach by car and bus.
