Review by Mike Evans - Sunday 16th March 2008

Finkenberg is exactly what its set out to be, a small village within easy reach of a gondola to the main ski area. limited night-life but easy access to the town of mayrhofen if that is what you are looking for. Buses run up and down the zillertal valley taking you to differnt areas of the ski area, all included in the lift pass.

Travelled with Crystal, Skis never got on the flight and last i heard they where in Frankfurt, Reps no help what so ever, so got a good pair from hire shop out of my own pocket and got on with enjoying the skiing, which was pretty good for spring.

If you can get to resort independently for cheaper I would advise it, Crystal really are no help, had to chase problems myself.

As for the Hotel Kristall, we where trully looked after by the staff, food was top quality you can contact hotel direct and check out their website. If you are a wine lover this hotel prides it self on providing top quality wines, beer aint to bad either.

Recommended Places
Only 2 bars in down both bouncing after a hard days skiing. snow park was very well set up , Hintertux glacier has very good conditions late season.
