Finkenberg is essentially an alternative satellite village for Mayrhofen set on the Mayrhofen-Lanersbach-Hintertux road, but with a good gondola link directly into the Penkenjoch circuit. It is a quieter, much smaller village. There are a few shops and bars and coffee houses and a few hotels and pensions. For those families perhaps looking for a break away from the bustle of Mayrhofen it is a good choice.
