September is slightly milder than August but remains extremely warm, and as such is still very popular at this time of year.

Daytime temperatures reach up to 28°C (82°F) and fall no lower than 17°C (63°F) at night. This is a great time of year to visit to catch the last of the summer sun as the leaves begin to turn brown in other parts of Northern Europe!

There are still 11 hours of sunshine every day so you can still spend a lot of time on the beach working on your tan. With over 4 miles (7km) of golden sand, you will definitely find a spot to spread out your towel.

If you are feeling energetic then you can try your hand at one of the water sports on offer, such as scuba diving and jet skiing. You can also take a boat tour to nearby Barbaada Island, with its spectacular views of the coastline.

 Cycling, hiking and quad biking are also popular in the hills around Sarigerme.

A popular trip to take is to the Dalyan Mud Baths, which are said to be extremely therapeutic and excellent for your skin – see for yourself if you leave looking ten years younger!

Be careful when you are out and about during the day as the sun is still extremely warm – wear sunscreen with a high SPF and seek shelter from the sun during the hottest part of the day.

Dance lovers should head to nearby Marmaris during September for the International Tango Festival, with many competitions and performances taking place.
