Averages for Santa Susanna in October
Santa Susanna is a small and historical town on Spain’s east coast that’s a wonderful mix of old and new. From traditional chapels and ruins to luxury hotels and water sports, there’s something to suit all tastes in this Catalan beach resort.
October sees pleasant temperatures, ranging from 12.5 to 21.5 degrees celsius on average. Be sure to take a jacket for the evening as some may find it a little chilly.
October is Santa Susanna’s wettest month of the year, bringing 91mm of rainfall generally. This may not seem like much, but compared to the drier parts of Spain it’s rather damp. The thunderstorm season continues throughout October.
Enjoy the pleasant autumn temperatures at the Ranxo Mestres. Take a horseback ride through the stunning countryside, walk a donkey, or sit back and relax on a carriage or wagon ride. Prices for these activities are low, with a one hour horseback or donkey ride costing just £11, and a wagon ride costing £8. The ranch is located along the Santa Susanna River, close to Colomer Park.
The onsite bar and restaurant is perfect for a snack after a busy day. The restaurant serves up set meals of grilled meats and salad, with the town’s specialty of toast and aioli (a Catalan-style garlic sauce). The children’s menu features meats and potatoes, and soft drinks and wine are served up at all times of the day (even during breakfast!).
The 3* Tahiti Playa Hotel offers rooms from £37 per night. The property is located right on the seafront and features swimming pools, gardens, kids clubs, supermarkets and bars and restaurants. All rooms boast private balconies with views over the Mediterranean.
