Averages for Salou in February

While it may cold, rainy or even snowing in the UK during February, Salou is experiencing pleasantly mild weather. Daytime temperatures reach a high of 14°C (57°F) and only fall to around 4°C (39°F) in the evenings.

There are also 7 hours of sunshine each day, so if you want some much needed respite from the winter cold, then this is the time to come to Salou. Due to the cooler evening temperatures and chance of rain, it would be best to bring several light layers and a jacket with you.

It won’t be warm enough just yet to stretch out on one of the beaches, but you can still stroll along the seafront and enjoy the view. You can also visit the lighthouse and the historic Torre Vella, which dates from 1530.

The main attraction in this area is of course the Portaventura theme park, where the whole family can enjoy the thrilling rides, internationally themed areas and the live entertainment on offer. The park is open all year round but is much less crowded in the winter months, making this an excellent time to have a stress free visit.

There are many Portaventura hotels you can stay at that will include entry to the park in the accommodation price. These include the wild-west themed Hotel Gold River, ideal for those with very young children, and the Caribbean paradise of Hotel Caribe.

In the centre of Salou itself you can choose to stay at the Golden Port Salou, which boasts a buffet restaurant, plenty of entertainment, an extensive spa facility as well as a playground and swimming pool for children.
