Weather : There are various external digital temperature gauges around the city and i saw 1 dislaying at 4.00pm 57c , I nearly passed out.
Even at night its at least 28c. the further out of the city you get it does get cooler slightly.

Holiday : I was working there but there is nothing to do except walk around the shops in between prayer times when the shops have to close and you have to stand outside in the oven like heat.....a nice cultural visit but not for a holiday.
I would not take the family there though.
