June is your last chance to visit Puerto Rico before the popular summer season begins. With temperatures reaching a sizzling 24°C during the day, you can expect to spend lazy afternoons sunbathing by the pool or at the beach.

San Juan (St. John's Day) takes place in late June and celebrates the history of Las Palmas, with many traditional rituals and festivities, open-air concerts, sports events and theatrical performances. The lively eventy culminates in bonfires and fireworks at various locations around the island.

Known throughout Puerto Rico as the ultimate thrill ride, Big Red Speed Boat is perfect for adrenaline junkies and adventure seekers. Based in the harbour next to Playa de Puerto Rico, this boat trip is available to book seven days a week from 10.30am onward. The vessel is powered by two engines which produce more than 700 horse power, creating an operating speed of up to 110km/h. Children as young as ten are able to enjoy the ride which lasts for around 30 minutes and guarantees to leave you soaking wet.
Puerto Rico Diving is ideal for holidaymakers who want to give the popular water sport a try. Located within the Europa Centre, this diving school offers a variety of courses and trips suitable for people of all abilities. Beginners are advised to start off with a discover scuba diving experience or the open water course if you want to earn a certificate. Advanced scuba divers will be more suited to the dive master or PADI courses. If you’re holidaying with little ones, you’ll be happy to hear that there are several children’s trips and courses available, suitable for kids as young as eight years old.
History fans won’t want to miss the chance to visit Mundo Aborigen – a re-enactment of an ancient Canarian village devoted to the first people of the island – the Guanches. Located between Maspalomas and Playa del Ingles, this exhibition is in the largest gorge in Gran Canaria and offers a wonderful day out for the whole family to enjoy.

As well as the live performances, Mary D’s is also where you’ll find nightly quizzes and karaoke sessions, making a fantastic night out for visitors of all ages.
