The weather was lovely apart from one wet day, but it was still warm.

Our holiday was magical from the moment we stepped off the ferry to the small island of St Nikolas, where we stayed in the Island Hotel Fortuna. The island was covered in shrubs and pine trees and there were lots of rabbits and two peacocks. These we fed every day with an apple taken from the dining room. Porec was a beautiful little town, spotlessly clean and with very friendly Croatians everywhere. Already booked for next year!

Amazing - we go there 6-7 times per year and hoping to spend 6 months next year having bought a smashing property. The local people are friendly, the bars and restaurants are amazingly good and not expensive at all.

We have been to Porec five times for vacation and weather is always gorgeous. We usually go in the beginning in July. I have also been there in September, less people since kids are back at school, and water is amazingly warm.

Porec is a very beautiful old town, you will enjoy walking around exploring the center and taking some amazing photos. We rented a private apartment for our week long stay close to the beach, which worked out very well. There are plenty of private accommodation for rent. Beaches have small pebbles, and there are also platform beaches. Don't forget water shoes!

My boyfriend and I went to Porec last year for our first holiday together. I have to say I was well impressed. The weather was glorious for the whole 2 weeks, apart from one thunder storm which happened at night so didn't really affect us that much. We dropped very lucky, as the people working at the hotel told us there would normally have been more rainfall in a 2 week period.

We had a fantastic holiday in Porec and are going again on Tuesday 1st September this year. Whether its just a relaxing getaway you want, or somewhere you can do lots of day trips and see some sights, it is a wonderful place to go. The beaches are not what you would expect however, because they don't have sand. Everywhere we went had bathing platforms rather than sand, for this reason i'd not recommend this resort for families with young children. However for us it was great, as we could just go for a dip in the sea and then lie on our towels without sand getting everywhere. It was more comfortable than you would imagine!
