Touched down Sunday afternoon with rain coming down from the heavens faster than we have ever seen in our lives. The 1 hour coach trip down to the hotel the rain kept on coming we both looked at each other and thought what have we done. 10.00 or should I say 22:00 the sky cleared. Monday came not a drop of rain was seen again until the morning we packed our cases to return home.Then it was just a shower.
The weather was hot every single day and night, leave your jumpers and coats at home.

Well what can I say 5 stars is a short fall in the ratings for this hotel.Rooms very clean with all the services iron board,hair dryer,clean towels every day, optics, fridge full of soft drinks, bottled water, air con which is a must and full maid services every day.Free towels for use at the pool and beach which you can change as many times you wanted.The food well, that again scores well above the 5 rating. Every level of staff from the manger down were all first class, you will want for nothing we did not want to come home. We both loved every bit of the holiday,we will return another year. I could be very selfish and write a bad report so everyone kept away so we could have an easy time booking for our next visit,but we are not that type of person. So if you have booked you will enjoy every minute if you are thinking of booking go for it. Roll on next year. Happy hol's at the Tequila.

Weather was superb. rain on two occasions - once at night (great!) and a tap turned on one afternoon for a short time! Wet, yes, but WARM and wet!

We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. Both our kids - 4 and 1 - loved the attention from staff, who couldn't do enough for you. The pool and pool bar was a major favourite!
The look on all our faces when we 'met' an iguana living beneath the path outside our room must have been a picture. The kids loved it.
Hotel closing for refurbishment for 3 months - can't wait to go back to check it out!

Cooler on the beach because of nice breeze. Rained heavily one night but you wouldnt have known it by the next morning. Rained for 5 mins one afternoon it was like a tap being turned on and off! everyone just jumped into the pool!

Very relaxing. Hotel is very clean and well maintained. Staff work very hard and cant do enough for you. Spoilt for choice with the lovely food. Hotel setting and grounds amazing, looks like the hotel was built around the jungle.

During the 2 weeks from 24th June until 8th July the weather was hot, humid and sunny. We had a couple of spectacular thunderstorms

The holiday overall was fantastic with an excellent mix of nature, culture and relaxation. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the sea was so warm and nice. I would recomend going between June and the end of August so that you can go swimming with the whale sharks. Siaan Kaan south of Tulum is a fantastic protected park that is worth visiting for the nature and snorkelling.
