Día de los Reyes is celebrated throughout the whole of Lanzarote, including Playa Blanca. On this day, almost all shops, supermarkets and banks will be closed whilst families celebrate at home with traditional Roscón de Reyes cakes and bonfires in memory of those who were said to set Bethlehem on fire in an effort to conceal the North Star from King Herod.
