The Back to the Beach Festival at the beginning of the month takes place at Laketown in Kenner, along the shore of Lake Pontchartrain.

This festival features food, drink, live music, competitions and games.

Ocean Fest takes place in the middle of the month at the Aquarium of the Americas with a series of performances and events designed to teach people about sea life.

The
Aquarium of the Americas features sealife from all over the world, including sharks, dolphins, jellyfish and turtles.

The
International Arts Festival celebrates South American, African and Caribbean culture with a range of music performances and food.

The French Market Creole Tomato Festival celebrates the most famous of Louisiana fruits! As well as lively parade, there are cooking demonstrations, food and live music.

And beer lovers will enjoy the International Beer Tasting Event, which features beer from all over the world.
